Removing patients

A guide to removing one, several or all patients from a target

How it works

It is possible to remove patients with the status  ‘Not started’, ‘In progress’, ‘Booked, and ‘Did not book’ from a target by either removing a full patient list or individual patients. This includes removing patients who have recently received an SMS booking invitation.

Removing a patient who has recently received an SMS invitation will prevent the patient from booking. If the patient tries to book, by responding A, B or C, the patient will receive a message that says “Sorry, we can’t process your booking”.

When there’s a patient within your target with patient alert status, they can now be reprocessed so that you can invite them to book an appointment. To do so, first solve the error causing the patient alert, then remove and re-upload the patients with ‘patient alert status’ to your chosen target.

Removing selected patients on a target

You can select one-or-more patients to be removed from the patient list. Select the checkbox next to the patients you wish to remove and click the ‘Remove’ button above the patient table.

Once you have clicked the ‘Remove’ button you will be asked to provide a reason for removal. This reason, along with your username will be stored in an audit log as a record.

Removing all patients on a target

You can remove all patients from a target by selecting the ‘Remove patient list’ option from the Settings drop down button on the ‘Target’ page. Patients with a ‘Patient alert’ status cannot be removed.

Once you have selected the ‘Remove patient list’ option you will be asked to provide a reason for removal. This reason, along with your username will be stored in an audit log as a record.
